This page explains how SafeBode decides what to publish, how we research our recommendations, and what standards every article must meet. SafeBode is published by RadiantCore LLC and led by founder and lead editor Surabhi Agrawal, who is responsible for everything that appears on this site.
Our research process
Every buying guide, comparison, and review on SafeBode goes through the same process before publication:
- Market scan. We identify the products that genuinely compete in a category — not just the ones with the biggest ad budgets.
- Specification analysis. We compare manufacturers’ published specifications side by side and flag where marketing claims don’t match the fine print.
- Owner-experience research. We analyze verified-owner reviews in volume to surface issues that only appear after months of real-world use: false alarms, app reliability, battery life, hidden subscription costs.
- Total cost of ownership. We calculate what a product really costs over 1–3 years, including required subscriptions and accessories.
- Editorial review. Our lead editor reviews every article for accuracy and fairness before it goes live.
Where we have hands-on experience with a product, we say so. Where our assessment is based on research rather than personal testing, we say that too. We do not invent testing claims.
Independence
Our recommendations are decided by the editorial process above — never by commissions, advertisers, or manufacturers. Brands cannot pay for placement or favorable coverage. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how we make money.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to assist with research aggregation and drafting. Every published article is directed, fact-checked, and edited by a human, and our editor takes full responsibility for its accuracy.
Updates and corrections
The home-security market changes quickly. We review and update our guides as products, prices, and subscription terms change, and we date our updates. If we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently.
